Software Quality Assurance Officer 1

Job Summary:

The Software Quality Assurance Officer is required to perform testing to ensure that web-based software products are performing within applicable quality standards and as expected.  This experienced person is also responsible for maintaining and executing test frameworks and scripts and will assist with the maintenance of test plans and test cases and troubleshooting test problems. This individual would also utilize various AI Tools to enhance the software testing process and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participates in Requirements and Functional Specifications reviews of new features and verifies these requirements are reflected in the test specifications.
• Focuses on the use of AI tools to enhance and improve software quality testing as well as reporting.
• Reviews testing status, issues, defects, etc. and distributes regular status reports to project and management stakeholders.
• Works with team to help develop test scenarios for process, function, integration, and acceptance testing.
• Performs test executions and write test scripts for complex integrated systems.
• Performs regression testing on new software releases and reports findings and to ensure consistency.
• Performs systematic manual and or automated testing of application software to identify problems.
• Detects and improves specifications where ambiguity exists.
• Reviews specifications, end user documentation, help files, and other project documentation to assure quality of the products and tests to be developed.
• Works collaboratively with the development team to understand features, help reproduce errors and ensure defects are resolved.
• Assists Application Development with replicating and debugging problems.
• Reports accurately on test results.
• Works on testing basic to moderate items.
• Focuses on testing of items related to application support.
• Works with Senior SQA officers on larger projects.
• Performs any other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with relevant training in the development field (information technology, information sciences, computer sciences, engineering); or any equivalent combination of related qualifications and relevant industry experience.
• Training and Certification in Artificial Intelligence
• 1 year’s experience in the use and development of Test Cases
• Knowledge of SQL, Java, Internet Technology.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Adaptable and “We-Can” attitude and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills with good oral and written communication skills.
• Must possess values of integrity, honesty and confidentiality.
