JOB SUMMARYTECHNICAL PAYROLL SUPPORT OFFICER; FULL-TIME; PERMANENT

The Technical Payroll Support Officer is responsible for managing and overseeing the technical aspects of payroll processing under the guidance and supervision of the Payroll Development Manager.  These duties require an IT background, a strong understanding of payroll systems, attention to detail, and knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

§  Accurately process and validate payrolls, including calculation of taxes, salaries, deductions, benefits, retroactive payments.

§  Maintain and troubleshoot payroll software and systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning correctly.

§  Ensure payroll practices comply with territory-specific tax and labour laws and regulations.

§  Manage and safeguard payroll data, performing regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity.

§  Generate and analyze payroll reports for client submission and regulatory compliance.

§  Address and resolve payroll-related issues and employee inquiries.

§  Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions and employee information.

§  Assist in developing and updating payroll policies and procedures.

·       Correctly configure the HRplus application according to client payroll specifications.

·       Work with clients to ensure that accurate data is provided to HRplus in a timely manner.

·       Validate and upload payroll data into the HRplus application.

·       Identify and communicate any gaps with respect to clients’ needs or the software’s output.

·       Any other related duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Business Management or any combination of related qualifications and relevant industry experience.

·       Certifications in Data Analysis; Knowledge of Excel at Intermediate Level is required.

·       At least three (3) years of experience in a similar role, running multiple payrolls with different pay frequencies and treating with Statutory payments.

·       Working knowledge of HRIS preferred.
