Job Description

Job Overview: 
The Project Manager is Responsible for developing comprehensive project plans (design, build, test, train, manage change, communicate, activate) to organize middle to long-range projects.  He/she is also responsible for financial, risk, and stakeholder management and acts as a project leader, demonstrating information technology expertise, and translating that expertise into client solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Plans, establishes, maintains, and regularly updates project schedules on assigned projects.
  • Manages communication and distributes documentation between the company and clients.
  • Communicates this data to key stakeholders and project sponsors on a timely basis.
  • Monitors, reports and controls costs on assigned projects within estimated project margin.
  • Reports, forecasts, and presents project financial activity to the Projects Implementation Manager.
  • Manages the project schedule, budgets, and client satisfaction.
  • Provides subject matter expertise in areas including project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, facilitation, and other areas of expertise based on established project management techniques.
  • Schedules product launch dates and facilitates a smooth client transition from Implementation to Support and client success teams once the product is ‘live’.
  • Supports Implementation Specialists for the duration of the project.
  • Manages a few projects.  The assignment of projects is based on the number of projects in the Project Pipeline, the proven capability to manage competing 'events', and the complexity of each project.


  • BSc. HR, IT and/or Business Management
  • PMP, CAPM Certification
  • 1-3 years’ work experience.
  • Experience in implementing HRIS, Payroll or Time and Attendance will be an asset.
  • Financial tracking experience, and knowledge of HRMS or IT projects. 
  • Experience and proven skills in managing a team of highly qualified people.
  • Proven skills and experience in Project Management.
  • Negotiating skills for working with stakeholders.
  • Experience in/understanding of budgeting/expense management.
  • Coaching, influencing, negotiation, and elicitation skills
  • Experience in understanding customer priorities, strategies, and business processes.
  • Basic understanding of Information Technology
  • Knowledge of the Project Life Cycle.
  • Functional knowledge of the HRplus Everywhere suite.
